Still going strong! Join us for the 17th Malmö Queer Munch and meet other queer kinky people! Come hang out! Bring yourself and bring your friends, and make new ones. We love the community vibe we are creating together, the events are friendly, open and very cute. Which of course makes us want to continue hosting it! Our target group is all queers, meaning people who are either identifying not cisgender or who are not straight. Feel free to share the event with anyone in our target group who might be interested, the more the merrier! SO, WHAT IS THIS? We started the munch* from a place of wanting to create more space for meaningful connection and community for queer perverts in Malmö. It’s to create a space to come together, socialize, share experiences and knowledge, and make friends in a relaxed hangout setting. (Don’t know the meaning of the word munch? Read at the end of the event text for an explanation) WHAT TO EXPECT We meet once a month, feel free to come to the event at the starting time or drop in later. We usually go on until at least around ten. Somewhere in the first part of the event we always do a small socializing game with a kinky theme, to make getting to know each other easier. It isn’t mandatory but usually everybody joins. All games are created to facilitate conversation and they last for about 30 minutes, sometimes longer because people are into it. If you are coming alone and you are new to the scene, don't worry! We will try to make the space as welcoming and warm as possible for everyone! There are always a few new people showing up, and always regulars showing up, so you won’t be the only one in either group. LANGUAGE Language wise people talk mostly in English, but there will also be some Swedish. We default to English because quite a lot of the people who join don’t have Swedish as their first language. If you are only comfortable with speaking Swedish that is also ok, there will be people to talk to in Swedish aswell. Both hosts understand both languages, one of us is a Swedish native speaker. VENUE The venue will be close to Möllan, and close to multiple buses. Exact location for the munch will be shared the evening before the event. To receive location you must be on either the “Going” or “Interested” list before that. The place has food and drinks (non-alcoholic or with alcohol) available for purchase, please support the space by choosing to eat there if you can! This also helps us to be able to continue booking it. The food available includes meat, vegetarian and vegan options. The place is sadly not wheelchair accessible, the venue allows dogs. CODE OF CONDUCT In order to make a safer space, we won't tolerate any form of kinkshaming, racism, transphobia, transmisogyny, fatphobia or any other disrespectful behavior. We organize this from an intersectional, queer feminist standpoint, to the best of our ability. If you notice anything of the above things, feel free to contact us organizers during or after the event. WANT MORE? You can join the network on DS for pre-/post-/inbetween events chats and socializing. It’s pretty active: www.darkside.se/net/?id=2506 💋 Your hosts 💋 Synchro, Lord_woosh * What is a munch? A munch is the term for an informal social gathering for people interested in bdsm (and in this case specifically queer people). Often a munch is held at a bar, café or restaurant - a public space where conversations that are unfriendly for kids can be held, and a place that is possible to come to without knowing anyone in advance. It’s not a party or club for play, but a munch is aimed at getting to know people and create community. It can be a way to connect with local kinksters if you’re new in town or new to the scene/new to kink, but it’s also a nice type of gathering to join for those who already are frequenters of the local queer bdsm community |
