Workshop in Japanese Rope Art Shibari/Kinbaku In a practical workshop, rope artist Lahtnor talks about the rope art Shibari/Kinbaku and teaches and shows examples of how it can be expressed. In our society, there are still strong norms around gender, sexuality, desire and how it is expressed. BDSM is about being fascinated and excited by bondage, domination, subordination, sadomasochism and fetishism. In Japanese culture, the art of tying with rope has been developed for centuries decorative - Shibari. Kinbaku is a Japanese rope art that originates from the Edo Period (1603-1867) but which over the years has been developed and specialized under different names. The Japanese term kinbaku means "hard binding" but takes the expression to bind (people) with an intention. The intention can be anything from meditative and therapeutic, to sexual and dominant or striving for beauty and display. Learn simple bindings and safety thinking, discover what exactly you like about rope - is it tying or being tied, and with what feeling and intention? Every person and encounter is unique – it allows us to experience the pleasure and playfulness of the Japanese rope art of kinbaku. Come in pairs or alone.
