It is still winter, but already time to make plans for an awesome summer! This year´s summer camp will take place the 18th-24th of July, and will be the seventh summer camp for women, trans and intersex individuals interested in BDSM and fetish! Get ready for a week of exciting play, interesting workshops, engaging discussions, lots of opportunities for skill sharing as well as time for relaxing in the sun together with other wonderful and playful camp participants. Also note that Stockholm Pride starts the week after camp, which makes for a perfect opportunity to get the most out of your stay in Sweden! Date The camp will take place from Monday the 18th of July to Sunday the 24th of July. In order to promote a good atmosphere we would prefer if the participants stayed for the whole duration of the camp. Registrations for shorter time periods will be possible provided there is room, but only in cases when participants plan to arrive on Monday the 18th and depart before the camp ends. This routine is to ensure that the social atmosphere at camp is relaxed and feels safe for all participants, and that all are present at the introduction activities that are planned for the first days of the camp. It is not possible to arrive before Monday the 18th or stay after Sunday the 24th of July, since there are other camps planned for the week before and the week after Wish Power Exchange Summer Camp. Please contact us if you need to arrive earlier or depart later, and we will send you a list of hostels/hotels in the vicinity. Place The camp consists of a small set of houses and buildings on the west coast of Sweden, surrounded by beautiful nature and close to the town of Smögen, as well as Nordens ark, an animal sanctuary for endangered species (http://www.nordensark.se/en/). It is in walking distance to a picturesque beach perfect for swimming. Directions to the location will be sent upon confirmed booking and completed payment. Who will be there? All Wish events are open to all women, transgendered and intersex individuals. Also, as with previous years, there will be a couple of our Wish extended family working on site who are cis gendered men. They will keep their distance from the events and the camp as a whole but will be around should we need assistance, as they provide essential support in regards to the maintenance of the venue. They respect us and our space and we expect attendees to continue to show them that respect as well. Prices This year´s fee is 3100 SEK (Swedish kronor), which includes both room and board. Wish Stockholm members will receive a 100 SEK reduction in fee. It will be possible to renew your existing membership on site. If you are willing to help out, for example work as a kitchen assistant during breakfast, lunch or dinner, be responsible for the hot tub and grocery shopping, or help with laundry and cleaning, we can offer a reduction in the fee in relation to the time volunteered. We have limited reduced-rate spots reserved, so please state clearly on your registration if you would like to be considered for this. If you are interested in running a scheduled workshop, please let us know as early as possible. Scheduled workshop facilitators will also receive a small reduction in fee. The living quarters of the camp consists of bedrooms, which usually houses 4 persons. We know that some people who travel together, for example in couples or triples, may wish to have a room to themselves. If you state on your form that you have a preference for your own room, we will do our best to accommodate your wishes. There will be a cost associated for doing so, for example, 2 people who wish to have a 4-bed room to themselves is 3500 SEK per person, provided we can accommodate them. For larger groups who wish to stay together, there is no additional cost, provided we can accommodate you. If you are interested in sharing a room with someone specific please state so on your form, and especially if you would like a room to yourselves as a couple, register early as we will allocate any such spaces on a first come, first served basis. How to register The last day to register for the camp is June 1st. We will not be able to repay the fee due to a cancelled booking. This is because the event is run strictly on a non-profit basis. Please specify the following very clearly in your booking request: Complete name, birth date, address /contact information (including email and phone number), and allergies and dietary needs for ALL of the persons included in the booking. We will strive to meet all dietary requirements, as long as we get the information needed before the last registration date. Also include if you have any wishes regarding sleeping arrangements, and if you will need to rent linen. If you are paying for several persons, please mark who you are, and who you are paying for |
