The Academy Role-Play Party Lördag 23 augusti Klockan 19-02 150 kr betalas i entren BYO gäller både mat och dryck. Kaffe The och Läsk kommer att finnas till försäljning Kvällen börjar vid grillplatsen där den som önskar kan äta medhavd picknick. Därefter fortsätter vi in i stugan för att leka. Vid ösregn/extrem torka kan endast korv på medhavt spett grillas i öppna spisen inomhus. The Academy presents "Service", a party themed on hierarchy and servitude. Tonight we encourage you to consider your place in the social order, are you a Lord, Lady, Royal? Or perhaps you are a Lady's maid, or housekeeper, footman or the lowest of the low, the laundry maid. Dress the part, play the role and enjoy reworking and reclaiming the traditional hierarchies of traditional households. After the formalities of dinner, where we invite you to bring your own food and drink for the grill or picnic, at 21 there will be a practical workshop for anyone who is interested in being a maid or servant lead by j, our resident expert in traditional maid service and training. This serves as an introduction or refresher for those interested in the upcoming maid training classes to be offered by the Academy*. This will be a genuine chance to learn how to serve - how to behave, how to stand, and curtsey or bow and more. For those interested in playing the role of servant or taking part in the training, we encourage you to wear appropriate clothing (though it is not necessary, but of course, FUN) - for example basic white shirt/blouse with black trousers/skirt. Or if you have a full servant's uniform, or tail coat suit, then we would love to see you in it! For the Masters, Mistresses, Lords, Ladies, Gentry, Royalty, well of course, there is no dress code, but please feel free to dress as ostentatiously as you wish. Of course, this also a regular Academy play event so please feel free to come as you are or want to be. Our usual equipment and play space is available to all! * j apologises for the delay in scheduling the maid training classes over the summer. She will of course be punished this evening and will also be talking about when and how the training classes will be offered in the very near future.
